One of the recommendations in the guides of Luang Prabang is to watch the sunset from Phu Si Hill. It was so beautiful, that despite having to jostle through crowds, I got carried away and took over 50 photos!

In Luang Prabang,

The Royal Palace Museum was built in 1904, so it's a combination of French and Lao styles.

This poor tiger had only a small cage in which it paced back and forth.

I finally arrived at the top of the Kouang Si Waterfall. There was no dry pathway to walk on at the top.

Kouangsi Waterfall

View from halfway up the waterfall.

It was amazing that the pathway went right across the waterfall. I don't know who she is, but I couldn't get a clear shot of the pathway without people.

Another part of the "pathway."

A bamboo electricity pole.

Some people became rich enough to buy nice houses, but the next door neighbors still have a traditional house.

There were many tourists taking photos of this waterfall near Luang Prabang. A surprising number of tourists were from France.

Finally, there was break in tourists, so I got the bridge to myself.
