Last photos from inside the Royal Palace, Phnom Penh. It's definitely worth seeing. I especially liked some of the places I couldn't photograph, like the Silver Pagoda, in which the entire floor was made of silver.

A model of Angkor Wat is below in front of the Royal Palace, Phnom Penh.

The Royal Palace, Phnom Penh. On the statue of the man riding the horse below, a king of Cambodia replaced the head of Napolean III with his own head. I'm surprised he didn't also replace the horse's head with that of an Elephant to make himself riding a white elephant.

Royal Palace, Phnom Penh. There is a small "spirit house" in front to make sure no spirits disturb the main building.

A mural depicting Cambodia's history is quickly disappearing in the humidity.

Royal Palace, Phnom Penh.

The grey building in the middle of the photo was a gift from Napolean III. It's falling apart now. Many monks in orange robes were visiting the Palace grounds.

The hotel I stayed at in Phnom Penh was beautiful. My room was on the center balcony.

I'll end the postings from Angkor, Cambodia with carvings of the famous Apsarases. The king had a group of 1000s of these dancers.

This is what I bought from the woman below. It's palm sugar slices (I'm not sure what to call them).

Along the side of the road there were many people selling palm wine, or palm sugar. The woman is wrapping palm sugar in leaves--it's a biodegradable container. It was a good snack.
