The next stop was the Gobi desert. Most of the time, this is what the road looked like:

It's not completely baren. There are just enough patches of vegetation for some livestock to graze.

I tried kayaking for the first time on Lake Khuvsgul, Mongolia. It was so peaceful on the water. The lake is too cold and isolated for sports like water skiing or jetskis.
