It looks empty here, but the temple was so packed inside I felt like I was at a department store sale.
The smoke from incense kilns in front of Jokhang Temple made it difficult to see.
The monument to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the "peaceful liberation" of the Tibetan Autonomous Region by the People's Republic of China is in the square right in front of the Potala Palace.
