Taiwanese cake.

My umbrella made it all the way to Taiwan through luggage on the plane since SIA wouldn't allow me to carry it on.

A view out the bus window of a smoke stack decorated for tourists in aboriginal style.

Beautiful coast in Taiwan.

This is all that remains of a fort that was built in 1511.

I loved the vanilla taste in this A&W Float rootbeer, but haven't been able to find it anywhere outside of Malaysia!

Taxis in Melaka.

The Melaka tree from which the city derived its name.

All that is left of St. Paul's church, originally built in 1521.

Mosques, churches, and temples coexist in Malacca.

Inside the Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, Malacca, Malaysia.

Many people burn items to transport them to their loved ones in the other world. They even have credit cards, and airline tickets on Hell Airline! From the ticket, it appears to go to heaven though.

More items available for burning. There are models of cars and houses.

I took a day trip to Malacca, a city that used to be much bigger than Singapore. The Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, one of the oldest temples in Malaysia.

I couldn't resist adding one more fake Christmas tree photo. This was in front of Central Mall, at Clarke Quay, Singapore.

At the Botanic Gardens, Singapore.

There were lifesize gingerbread houses in many hotel lobbies. This one had a sign telling people not to eat it!

At the Night Safari

My new job at the Botanic Garden.

Champagne brunch at the Fullerton Hotel. I had eaten some proper food before this plate of desserts. Why make choices when you can try everything?

These are about the only cows you'll see in Singapore.

The Christmas tree is completely artificial. It makes me miss Rockefeller Center.

One of the Christmas decorations on Orchard Road. Obviously, I'm a little delayed in posting photos.
