Angkor Wat at dawn. How long will it be before an escalator is installed to speed tourists through?

I left the hotel at 5am to watch Angkor Wat at sunrise. Several hundred others had the same idea.

The temples were originally Hindu, but were converted to Buddhist temples by later rulers.

It's hard to convey even in photos how steep the stairs are to the top of temples.

I can only load one or two photos at a time right now with Picasa. Apparently, this problem has been going on for over a month with no fix yet.

I'm sure this looks much more beautiful during the wet season when the pool is filled with water.
