This was a Soviet era restaurant. I couldn't read anything on the menu since there was no English so I just pointed at something at random. By chance, it was delicious!

According to my guide book, there was an excellent nearby architectual museum of different types of traditional Russian homes. It was not very popular with international tourists. I was the only non-Russian to find it, and the museum was well past it's prime. Buildings were falling apart. The few other visitors were school children.

At the fort area at Nizhniy Nozgorod, there are many relics from WWII. People enjoy posing on them.
