Forbidden City. Note all the people using umbrellas were using them as protection from the sun, as there was no rain. I wished I'd done the same because I ended the day with a farmer's tan--actually it was much more interesting..more like a ring because I had some sun tan lotion on my face.

The giant metal bowl below is not a trash can, or soup pot. It was used to store water to extinguish any fires in the wooden buildings.
