Batam Island, Indonesia. This is a photo of one of the three halls of the largest Buddhist temple in Southeast Asia. It's a very new temple, not nearly as impressive as those that have lasted hundreds of years. The Buddha in front is the Happy Buddha. The restaurant where I ate lunch.
A show after lunch. The guys ate burning coal, freshly broken glass and jumped through hoops of fire. They claim that by praying, they can protect themselves from any damage those activities may cause.
