On the road from Huanglong to Jiu Zhai Gou, we stopped at the top of a pass. By we, I mean the tour bus. I was the only Westerner on the trip, and my tour guides English vocabulary consisted of "Hi", and "Let's go." I paid extra to take the "no shopping" tour, since tours in China are notorious for dropping you off for hours for the "cultural experience" of seeing a Jade factory.

There were some prayer flags at the pass, showing Tibetan influence. It would have been more beautiful without the giant power lines in the background.

Two rivers meetup. The one on the left is from Jiu Zhai Ghou.

Finally at the entrance to Jiu Zhai Gou. It costs 40 USD a day to enter! However, with the tour, there is a discount so it's two days for the price of one.
