It's a quiet island, so one of the exciting weekly events is crab racing. You can enter for a few dollars entry fee per crab, but must pick a number without having seen the crabs. There were thirty crabs, and three rounds of races. The crabs all start in the center, and the first crab to crawl off the rug wins. By chance, the two crabs I paid for were the largest and some of the fastest too! My crab #10 won first place! Crab #2 came in third place.

Crabs #10 and #2 were eager to race.

Here I am accepting the first place award for my crab with the "race course" on the left.
